Pokemon Pro Circuit - Signups & OOC
#11
Ah, I appear to have misread the description for that. I think I'll change the held item, I want to have a variety of moves to use. ;P

I will change it to Sitrus Berry.

Trainer's Name: Jackson Goodrich
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Home Region: Hoenn
Home Town: Mossdeep City

Physical Appearance: Jackson is a fairly tall, lanky young man. He wears his blonde hair behind a blue bandanna, and is typically seen in jeans, except when dress code calls for fancier attire. Jackson has unusual cold, grey eyes (contrasting his warm, friendly personality, see below), which he cites as his main inspiration to train Ice- and Steel-typed Pokémon.

History: Jackson Goodrich is the son of a former Hoenn League champion, Kit Goodrich. Although he was born in the Orre Region's Phenac City, he calls Mossdeep City his home, since he was born during a vacation to Orre, and as such did not stay in his birth town for too long.

Jackson thinks very highly of his father, who was a student at the prestigious Pokémon Academy, which his uncles taught at. From an early age, Jackson loved Pokémon battling, and cared for all of his Pokémon tirelessly, although he has a special soft spot for Wildfang – his Skarmory – as he was Jackson’s very first Pokémon. This earned Jackson all of his Pokémon’s unwavering respect.

At the age of 17, Jackson conquered his home region, Hoenn’s, Pokémon league. This gained him much attention, but under the advice of his father, Jackson traveled to Sinnoh to complete a second Gym Challenge, which he did successfully. This got his name on the lips of many trainers; both accomplished and aspiring. Shortly after, Jackson became well known, and was invited to the esteemed Pro Circuit.

Personality: Jackson is a friendly, caring, and overly modest person. He prefers to battle in close link to both his fans/friends, as well as his Pokémon. He entered the Pro Circuit by the wishes of his close friends and family, as they believe that he is in his prime as a trainer, and should, as such, enter the exclusive Pro Circuit. Although he feels that his family and friends over-exaggerate his talents as a trainer, he does not like to let people who care about him down, and is overly hard on himself when he does – even when it isn’t in his power to keep such high standards in check.

Trainer's Name:Zach Haze
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Home Region: Kanto
Home Town: Lavender Town
Physical Appearance: Zach is about 5'9 with medium-length black hair and dark brown eyes. He ears a black cloak over a black t-shirt with a bulls-eye on the front of it. He wears a pair of dark blue baggy jeans and black sneakers.
History: Zach grew up in Lavender Town, having heard tales of the great trainers of his region, Red and Blue. He looked up to these two trainers and decided at a young age that he too wanted to journey the regions. Though his official starter Pokemon was a Squirtle, he previously had befriended a young Houndour who he would constantly defend against the people of his town since it was part Dark-type. In Zach's experience, Dark-type Pokemon are largely misunderstood and so it has become Zach's goal to start up a gym for the Dark-type. Zach traveled through the regions of Kanto, Johto and Sinnoh and after having beat their Elite Fours and fighting against their Champions he applied for the position of Gym Leader. Initially accepted, when Zach went in for his interview with some league officials and told them his intent to have a Dark-type gym he was shut down quickly and rejected from the position. Saddened, he was encouraged by fellow Dark-type trainer Karen of Johto's Elite Four to travel through the Hoenn region and participate in their league and to meet with a man named Sidney. Zach followed the advice of Karen and finally encountered Sidney in Hoenn's Elite Four where he learned he too was a Dark-type trainer. Sidney at this point sent in Zach's name for recommendation for the Pokemon Pro Circuit. It is the hopes of not only Zach, but Karen and Sidney as well, that through Zach's acception and fighting in the Pro Circuit that people will come to accept Dark-type Pokemon and that Zach can one day have his gym.
Personality:Zach is a loyal friend to those he deems worthy and will defend them against attack be it mental or physical. His favorite Pokemon type is the Dark-type and he can't stand the abuse and hate the type gets. In his mind Dark-type Pokemon are no more evil than any other and that its pure stupidity that anyone would think otherwise.

Looks good Vero! Only thing I'm wary on is the choice of the Leftovers item for a Held Item. It is a good Held Item in the games yes, but as I mentioned in my first post it may be difficult to accurately use it in a roleplay however if you can roleplay it well enough that it doesn't detract from the battle then feel free to use it.

This goes for all Held Items and Abilities guys. Please do not let your Held Items or Abilities detract from the flow of the battles. This is a warning for everyone.

Well, with the revelation of Zantok's announcement topic letting us all know that he won't be able to run as many RolePlays as he could before College started up again, I've spoken with him, and I will be taking over this RP. Zantok will still be involved both as my acting adviser, and a character at this point, but he has told me that this may change, depending on where life takes him when I start the actual RolePlay.

I plan to get this started as soon as possible, though I'd like to get a solid amount of participants before doing so. Currently, we have four people signed up for the RP, and obviously, that won't make a very impressive "worldwide challenge," as is the intent of the RolePlay. So, now is as good a time as any for you to sign up; and hopefully we can get the Pokéball rolling on this game! ;)
